With 3 simple ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen, you can make this detox drink and give it a try.
- 2 tablespoons of honey.
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- 8 oz of water.
To prepare this recipe you have to mix the cinnamon with boiling water, then remove from heat and let cool.
To preserve the properties of honey that will help you lose weight, you have to add it when the drink is cold, never when the water is boiling. Once it cools down and you have added and mixed in your honey you can put it in the fridge until you are ready to drink it. (I put mine in an empty water bottle)
How to consume this drink?
Drink half of it just before going to sleep, and the other half in the morning when you wake up, on an empty stomach.
My friend claims that in just seven days you will see the results and be surprised and encouraged to continue your journey. Tonight is my first night trying this. I’m actually excited to test out this DIY detox drink she has been bragging about!
Honey alone has been shown to contain antioxidants and enzymes that have various healthy effects on the body. Findings on cinnamon are equally as promising, with research suggesting that it can do everything from boosting your metabolism to lowering your cholesterol. Combining the two creates a sort of Dynamic Duo and when taken at the start and end of your day has been proven (by my friend) to assist you in your weight loss goals.
