Skin Care And Beauty Routines From Celebrity MUA Robert Hensley

Our favorite celebs look flawless every time they step out on the red carpet. But, how do they get this way? We spoke with one of the top Makeup Artists/Skincare Gurus behind some of these perfect complexions and uncovered his secrets to share with all of you!

According to Celebrity MUA/ Skincare Guru and good friend of mine, the one and only “Mr. Robert Hensley” these are his simple yet effective beauty tips to a perfect, flawless complexion;

1st Rule of Skin Care “KEEP IT SIMPLE”

Invest in 3 must-have products: a cleanser, moisturizer and SPF. Look for a cleanser with a blend of salicylic, lactic and glycolic acids for a mild daily exfoliation. Find a moisturizer rich in antioxidants and contains a humectant, such as rose. Always invest in s broad spectrum SPF, which protects the skin from UVA, UVB and UVC rays.

For Flawless Makeup:

AVOID FALL OUT – be careful about the products and colors you use, and the placement of these products. Nothing shows a person’s age than colors and products that settle into fine lines and wrinkles. Don’t use powder foundation – mature skin tends to be drier skin, so nourish the skin with a liquid foundation that gives the skin a more supple appearance. Don’t use extremely dark or extremely glittery shadow, which will inevitably settle into the fine lines around the eyes, making you look even older. Apply highlights and colors to the central area of your features in round shapes – blush on the apple of the cheek in a circular stroke, apply the highlight on the eyes on the center of the lid and under the arch of the brow…forego contouring as mature skin already lacks the fatty tissue to fill out the face. Contouring will just make the face look thinner and older.
